From the idea to the product

 

And courage was needed

to set about the ambitious monthea project. The idea of creating something of their own started with a simple cup of tea among friends. A product with local character and sustainability. A product made with the best South Tyrolean raw materials, created with enthusiasm and a passion for nature.

 


A year of intense work on different methods of drying, fruit, teas and infusions followed. The two young entrepreneurs were not discouraged by setbacks and resolutely pursued their goal of creating a tea brand that would be synonymous with quality and sustainability.


Simon and Axel aim to support South Tyrol's farmers in their work with monthea and to refine nature's valuable produce into high quality varieties of tea. The earth in South Tyrol provides the perfect conditions for growing small fruits and rare herbs of the highest quality. This potential is harnessed so that monthea can offer a unique taste experience.

In so doing, the very highest quality and organic methods are not merely possible options, but prerequisites. 

 

A team that could not be more different...

...and which nevertheless works like a Swiss clock. What doesn't interest the first is what the second enjoys, what the second can't do, the first can do in his sleep.
Simon and Axel are united not only by a deep friendship, but also the joint idea of founding a company that is both rooted in and sustainably active for South Tyrol.
